Partners: Armenia & Greece

For this project, we chose to put a strong focus on mythology, because we believe mythology is at the very core of world literature. The myths of each culture are not just ancient stories — they are the foundations of identity, values, and imagination that later shaped poetry, drama, and prose across centuries. By highlighting mythology, we can show how Armenian and Greek traditions connect to the broader history of world literature.

This project aims to explore how national identity is reflected and shaped through mythology in Armenia and Greece. Both nations have rich mythological traditions, with heroes, gods, and symbolic stories that have influenced their cultures for centuries. By studying and comparing Armenian and Greek mythology, students will gain a deeper understanding of their own cultural roots, as well as develop intercultural awareness and appreciation for shared human values expressed in myths.
